“Beauty is not just what meets the eye as by hosting the 72nd Miss World Pageant, the entire ecosystem of Telangana will receive a thrust by showcasing its unexplored spectacular destinations, it`s cuisine, the rich traditions and of course this platform will showcase the rich handloom legacy, art-forms and crafts of timeless Telangana,” states Smita Sabharwal, Secretary to the Government of Telangana, Tourism, Culture, Heritage and Youth Affairs Department
“It goes without saying that by hosting the 72nd Miss World Festival, we will be announcing to the world that Telangana has arrived and is ready to showcase its spirit, its warmth, and its boundless potential. The Global vision and rich heritage of this baby state. The state is not just about Hyderabad, it will be a boost to rural Telangana,” Ms Smita Sabharwal stated while speaking to Paresh B Mehta.
The prestigious Miss World Festival will bring together participants from over 120 countries and territories, competing not only for the coveted title but also to champion meaningful causes aligned with the Miss World Organization’s mission of ‘Beauty with a Purpose.’
“We want the world to open up it`s eyes to see the existence of old world charm along with the high tech modern cities of Telangana. The untapped tourism potential of the Ramappa Temple and the UNESCO accredited destination in Warangal. Being thematic the Miss World pageant will also showcase Telangana`s beauty and its carnival celebrations. This 4 weeks beauty festival will be utilized for announcement of the First ever Tourism Policy and its frame work by the Telangana Government,” she pronounced.
“We also want the world to know about Telangana`s robust infrastructure and excellent connectivity, featuring one of the world’s best airports, year-round pleasant climate, prestigious educational institutions, a thriving IT-enabled services sector, global pharmaceutical hub with massive health infrastructure and film industry. Its reputation for safety and tourist friendliness, and a thriving international ecosystem, makes it an ideal destination for tourists, both from India and across the globe,” Ms Sabharwal remarked.

“Telangana Government is putting it`s best foot forward by hosting the Miss World pageant and this state is set to take centre stage on the global beauty map as we shall use this platform to showcase our beautiful destinations, local cuisine and culture that will give a boost to our arts and crafts. The entire ecosystem will wake up to the huge strides that as other say about `this baby state` having achieved milestones adopting huge strides in the development of infrastructure like water, roads, health and sanitation milestones,” Ms Sabharwal further divulged stating several other world famous tourist destinations in the state like the Nagarjuna, Kinnerasani Wild Life Sanctuary, Amrabad Tiger Reserve and several eye-pleasing Waterfalls.
The nations’ representatives will arrive in Telangana on May 7th, while the final broadcast event, when the reigning Miss World, Krystyna Pyszková from Czechia will crown her successor, will happen on May 31st, in Hyderabad.
