The India Art Festival returns to Mumbai this week with a dazzling display of creativity, offering art enthusiasts an unparalleled opportunity to explore over 5,500 artworks presented by 40 Art Galleries and 550 artists, spanning diverse styles, mediums, and themes. Following its successful editions in Delhi and Bengaluru, this celebrated art fair continues to shine as a hub for contemporary art.

Launched in 2011, the India Art Festival has firmly established itself as a premier platform for emerging and mid-career artists, alongside mid-level galleries and master artists. This year, the festival marks a dual milestone: its 13th edition in Mumbai and the 30th edition across India, including events in Delhi, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad.

Rajendra Patil, founder-director of the festival, highlights its mission: “Our goal has always been to create an accessible platform for young artists and mid-level galleries, helping them overcome the barriers of high costs and limited opportunities in the art fair circuit.”

Set across two floors, the festival offers an immersive experience where galleries and independent artists exhibit their work. Art collectors and buyers can directly connect with creators and explore an eclectic mix of seascapes, landscapes, abstracts, and depictions of rural and urban life.

Renowned artists like Akbar Padamsee, Paresh Maity, Jogen Chowdhury, Krishen Khanna, Manu Parekh, Paramjeet Singh, Sanjay Bhattacharya, Ramesh Gorjala and others will be featured alongside a vibrant pavilion of emerging talents. Rising stars and mid-career artists such as Ashok Rathod, Nagesh Ghodke, Sayali Waghmare, Nirmala Pillai, Yuvraj Patil, Ruta Inamdar, Mahesh Soundatte, Vimla Maroju, Bonthala Rajitha, Atul Bhalerao, Vaishali Gandhi, Rohan Sonavane and many others bring fresh perspectives and boundless imagination to the forefront.

Whether you are a seasoned collector or a curious observer, the India Art Festival promises an unforgettable celebration of art, creativity, and innovation, reinforcing its position as a cornerstone of India`s contemporary art scene. The India Art Festival will be hosted from 23 to 26 January 2025 at Nehru Centre, Worli, Mumbai.
