Manotpal Mishal’s Journey from Corporate Leader to Film Producer
Before venturing into film production, Manotpal Mishal built a successful career in multinational corporations, holding top executive positions. He later founded his own manpower management company, which became one of the leading firms in the country. Being an ardent movie buff, he eventually established Digital Media Talkies to bring quality content to diverse audiences.
Speaking about his debut production, Mishal shared, “The intent behind starting my own production house was to create meaningful cinema and cater to audiences in unique ways. Bypass 33 is a subject close to our hearts. A lot of hard work has gone into it, and we are confident that its realistic, powerful, and thought-provoking narrative will leave a lasting impression on the audience. I am committed to producing films that offer something unique and encourage reflection.”
Director Rahul Singh’s Passion for Filmmaking
Rahul Singh, the director of Bypass 33, initially aspired to be an actor when he moved to Mumbai from Jamui, Bihar. However, due to limited acting opportunities, he transitioned into direction, working as an Assistant Director for five years on top television shows and with renowned filmmakers. His deep understanding of cinema and dedication to storytelling are evident in the meticulous direction of Bypass 33.
Recalling how the film came to life, Singh shared, “A close friend of mine once asked me to write a film for him. That’s when writer Chandan Aryan and I started working on the idea of a suspense thriller, which eventually developed into this gripping script. When we presented it to producer Manotpal Mishal, he immediately believed in the story and gave us the green light to make the film in our very first meeting. Not only did he trust the subject, but he also had immense faith in me as a director, allowing me complete creative freedom.”
