IFF honors Mr. Satyaki Banerjee with the prestigious title of “Best Teacher of the Year 2025″

The Incentive Foster Foundation (IFF) proudly honored Mr. Satyaki Banerjee with the title of “Best Teacher of the Year 2025” on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.

Mr. Satyaki Banerjee is a distinguished educator, author, and social contributor whose work spans classrooms, communities, and national platforms. Born on 28 June 1986 in Jirat, Kaliagarh, Balagarh, Hooghly, West Bengal, he represents the third generation of educators at Jirat Colony High School (H.S.), following in the footsteps of his grandfather, Late Hemchandra Banerjee, and uncle, Late Ganesh Chandra Banerjee.

With a robust academic foundation—holding an M.Sc in Zoology, dual M.A degrees in Environmental Studies and Education, and a B.Ed—Mr. Banerjee has dedicated his career to holistic and inclusive education. As an Assistant Teacher at Jirat Colony High School, he teaches in both Bengali and English mediums, ensuring accessibility and depth in learning for all students.

Beyond the classroom, Mr. Banerjee is a mentor and a changemaker. He serves as the NCC Officer at his school, inspiring countless cadets with values of discipline, patriotism, and civic responsibility. He also mentors the Standards Club, an initiative approved by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), where he cultivates scientific thinking and awareness of quality standards among students.

His commitment to national pride and student engagement is evident in his efforts to install statues of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose at both his current school and his previous institution, Digsui Sadhana Banga Vidyalaya. These installations serve as daily reminders of India’s legacy and the importance of patriotic values in education.

Mr. Banerjee’s influence extends into the realm of broadcasting, where he conducts educational sessions on All India Radio under the program “Vidyarthi der jonyo”, engaging students and the broader public in meaningful learning experiences. He has also actively participated in numerous social service initiatives through the NSS Unit of Balagarh Bijoy Krishna Mahavidyalaya, reinforcing his dedication to community development.

As an author, he has contributed significantly to academic literature. His notable works include Environmental Studies for All Discipline, a comprehensive resource for interdisciplinary learning, and Understanding India, a graduate-level book aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) that explores the nation’s heritage, governance, and societal dynamics.

In recognition of his outstanding contributions to education and social work, Mr. Banerjee has been conferred an Honorary Doctorate, a testament to his lifelong commitment to nurturing minds and uplifting communities.

In recognition of his tireless efforts in shaping young minds, promoting scientific thinking, and fostering national pride, the IFF Teachers’ Day Honor 2025 has been conferred upon him.

This award is a tribute to his outstanding dedication. The IFF congratulates Mr. Satyaki Banerjee for his remarkable contributions and celebrates his journey as a true torchbearer of knowledge, discipline, and values.
