Hyderabad, November 10, 2025: In the aftermath of the tragic car explosion near Delhi’s historic Red Fort Metro Station, which claimed the lives of at least eight innocent civilians and left several others injured, noted legal practitioner and social reform advocate Adv. Nizam A. Khan issued a powerful public condemnation, describing the incident as “a direct assault on the conscience of humanity and the sanctity of peace itself.”
The blast, which occurred during peak evening hours, sent shockwaves across the capital and prompted heightened security alerts nationwide. The incident has drawn widespread outrage, but Adv. Nizam A. Khan’s statement stands out for its depth, compassion, and unflinching moral clarity.
“No cause, no ideology, no grievance — political or religious — can justify the shedding of innocent blood,” said Adv. Nizam A. Khan. “If this attack was committed in the name of religion, it becomes not only a crime against humanity but a betrayal of faith itself. No true religion on earth condones violence against innocents. Those who distort divine teachings to spread terror have severed themselves from the mercy and justice of the Almighty.”
A Voice for Justice and Unity
Adv. Nizam A. Khan, known for his legal work in constitutional rights and community reconciliation, called for a transparent and time-bound investigation by central and state agencies. He demanded that the government ensure accountability “from the planners to the executors” while maintaining communal harmony and avoiding speculation that could inflame tensions.
“The law must act swiftly and decisively,” he stated. “But equally, society must respond with wisdom, not with hate. Terrorists thrive when we divide; they fail when we unite under justice and compassion.”
He urged all citizens to stand shoulder-to-shoulder, irrespective of caste, creed or class, asserting that terrorism has no religion, and that invoking faith to justify such barbarity is “an insult to every believer who prays for peace.”
Condemnation Rooted in Faith
In his statement, Adv. Nizam A. Khan reminded that every major religion — be it Islam, Hinduism, Christianity, Sikhism or Buddhism — teaches the preservation of life, compassion for the suffering, and restraint in the face of provocation.
“As a student of faith and law,” he said, “I affirm that no scripture on earth commands the killing of innocents. Those who misuse the name of God to commit violence are not the defenders of religion; they are its greatest enemies. They weaponize faith, but they will never own it.”
He further appealed to religious scholars, community elders, and youth organizations to intensify awareness campaigns against radicalization and to reclaim religious teachings from extremist misinterpretations.
Call for Support to Victims
Adv. Nizam A. Khan extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased and called for immediate relief and medical support to the injured. He offered pro bono legal assistance to victims’ families should they face procedural or compensatory hurdles.
“Let this nation not only mourn,” he urged, “but also move — to strengthen security, to support survivors, and to ensure that those who plan such atrocities face the full measure of justice.”
Concluding his statement, Adv. Nizam A. Khan invoked a solemn message:
I, Advocate Nizam A. Khan, express my deepest and most unequivocal condemnation of the heinous explosion that occurred today near the Red Fort Metro Station in New Delhi, in which at least eight innocent people lost their lives and many more were left injured.
This act of violence strikes at the very core of civil society — a place of daily commute, life and livelihood— and must be met with the highest degree of outrage.
To the perpetrators, let this be a solemn warning: you have deliberately attacked not just individuals, but our shared sense of safety, our public spaces, our democratic way of life. Such reckless disregard for human life cannot, must not, and will not be tolerated.
To the Government and law-enforcement agencies, I demand:
- A full, transparent and independent investigation, to determine the cause of the explosion, identify all those responsible (direct and indirect), and ensure swift and certain justice.
- Enhanced security protocols, particularly in public transportation hubs and heritage zones, so that citizens can move freely and without fear.
- Adequate support, compensation and medical care for the victims and their families: those who have perished, those grievously wounded, and those traumatised by this atrocity.
- A clear public communication strategy — the people have a right to know the status of the inquiry, the threat assessment, and the preventive measures being implemented.
To the citizens of India, I call upon all of us to stand firm — not to cede our courage, not to surrender to fear. Let our unity, our resilience, our commitment to justice and peace be stronger than the forces that aim to break them.
In this dark hour we remember the victims, we extend our prayers for the injured, and we reaffirm our vow: violence will not define us—not today, not ever.
I offer my legal and moral support to all affected, and pledge to monitor that justice is done, publicly and without delay.
