{"id":28114,"date":"2026-03-16T12:48:09","date_gmt":"2026-03-16T12:48:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/rvrising.com\/?p=28114"},"modified":"2026-03-16T12:48:14","modified_gmt":"2026-03-16T12:48:14","slug":"municipal-corporation-of-delhi-south-zone-assessment-and-collection-department","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/rvrising.com\/blogs\/news\/agency-news\/municipal-corporation-of-delhi-south-zone-assessment-and-collection-department\/","title":{"rendered":"Municipal Corporation of Delhi \u2013 South Zone Assessment and Collection Department"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Assessment &amp; Collection (A&amp;C) Department, MCD South Zone, under the leadership of the Joint Assessor &amp; Collector, organized a public awareness rally today on Khanpur\u2013Devli Road and IGNOU Road to inform property owners about the last date of the SUNIYO Scheme (31st March 2026) and to encourage them to clear their property tax dues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The department is moving towards achieving an all-time record in property tax collection this financial year. However, many properties, particularly commercial establishments, are still not paying property tax. Based on use-conversion records, around 5,000 such properties have been identified which are still outside the tax net.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/rvrising.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/delhi-1024x576.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-28116\" srcset=\"https:\/\/rvrising.com\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/delhi-1024x576.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/rvrising.com\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/delhi-300x169.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/rvrising.com\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/delhi-768x432.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/rvrising.com\/blogs\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/delhi.jpeg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Notices are being issued to these property owners. If dues are not cleared before 31st March 2026, strict action including attachment and sealing of properties will be taken as per the MCD Act.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The department also highlighted that SUNIYO Scheme 2025\u201326 is a valuable opportunity for defaulters to regularize their dues, gain peace of mind, and contribute to the development of civic infrastructure in Delhi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MCD appeals to all property owners to avail the SUNIYO Scheme and pay their property tax before 31st March 2026.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Assessment &amp; Collection (A&amp;C) Department, MCD South Zone, under the leadership of the Joint Assessor &amp; Collector, organized a public awareness rally today on Khanpur\u2013Devli Road and IGNOU Road to inform property owners about the last date of the SUNIYO Scheme (31st March 2026) and to encourage them to clear their property tax dues.
