In a momentous cultural exchange, Padma Bhushan Awardee and Grammy Award winning musician Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt was handed over a painting titled “Devi Saraswati” by internationally renowned artist Prithviraj Choudhury at Novotel Hotel & Residences, Kolkata.<\/p>\n
In the same occasion Pandit Prodyut Mukherjee, who happens to be a Grammy Jury member , GiMA Award winner and Global ambassador of Indian Music also received a painting on “Radha Krishna” by the artist.<\/p>\n
Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt is an iconic figure in Indian classical music, celebrated for his innovative and mesmerizing performances. This artwork handover marks a significant cultural milestone, bridging the realms of music and art.<\/p>\n
“I am really very happy to meet such an incredibly talented artist in person today and I am truly overwhelmed by his humble gesture of gifting me his painting on Ma Saraswati, which is not only beautiful but also speaks about Artist Prithviraj`s deep rooted understanding of his talent that is getting globally recognized today.” says Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt.<\/p>\n
Pandit Prodyut Mukherjee, the Grammy Jury member and a global cultural ambassador of India says “The way Artist Prithviraj has created a mark not only in India but all across the world is really exemplary. His use of bold and vibrant colours and signature strokes have really defined a very contemporary genre inspired by Kalighat Painting.”<\/p>\n
Artist Prithviraj Choudhury, known for his captivating paintings on Indian Mythology inspired by Kalighat painting of Bengal, expressed his honour in presenting the artwork to Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt. “This is my privilege to hand over my Art on Devi Saraswati to Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt ji, who is not only a true icon but also the inventor of Mohan Veena,” says Artist Prithviraj.<\/p>\n
Both the paintings are a testament to Artist Prithviraj Choudhury`s mastery over Indian Mythology-inspired art. Choudhury`s work is deeply influenced by the traditional Kalighat painting style of Bengal, which he is working tirelessly to promote as a global heritage property.<\/p>\n
The artwork handover ceremony was attended by several esteemed guests, including music aficionados, art connoisseurs and cultural enthusiasts.
