From his early days of starting a small business of vegetable trading to becoming an international businessman, Kavit’s journey epitomizes the spirit of entrepreneurship and resilience.

Kavit’s tale begins with hardship. Losing his father at the tender age of eleven, he became the sole breadwinner for his family. Determined to carve out a different future for himself, he eschewed the stability of a regular job, focusing instead on becoming a businessman. His curiosity about the trading business led him to the world of import and export, a field he would eventually revolutionize.

With just 500 rupees in his pocket, Kavit moved to Mumbai, the city of dreams. He spent his early years traveling to different ports on foot or by public transport, unable to afford even a train ticket. This grueling routine continued for nearly two years, yet Kavit remained undeterred. His commitment to his vision, even in the face of financial constraints and betrayal by business partners, laid the groundwork for his future success.

In 2012, Kavit founded Impexperts – World of Import Export, an initiative aimed at educating aspiring exporters and importers. Recognizing the potential of India’s burgeoning global trade post-1991 globalization, he sought to impart practical knowledge and skills to help individuals establish their businesses internationally. This vision of empowerment was further solidified in 2016 when Impexperts was legally registered, co-founded by Devang M. Shah and Kavit Ashwin Shah.

The ambition to transform the import-export training landscape took a significant leap forward on May 7, 2019, with the establishment of Digital Exim. Under Kavit’s leadership, Digital Exim launched comprehensive training programs designed to provide practical exposure and hands-on experience in the field of international trade. These programs, including Practical Export Import Training (PXMT) and Direct Export Trade (DXT), have been instrumental in shaping the careers of many aspiring entrepreneurs.

Kavit’s innovative approach also extended to creating franchise opportunities under the Digital Exim brand. This initiative offers aspiring entrepreneurs the chance to start their careers with the support of an established brand, reflecting Kavit’s commitment to fostering new talent and expanding the reach of his expertise.

Beyond the borders of India, Kavit’s influence has reached international markets. He has successfully established business operations in countries such as Thailand, Vietnam, and Dubai. More impressively, he provides opportunities for his students to work globally, across 25 countries. His most popular program, DXT Digital Exim Trade, remains in high demand, drawing participants eager to benefit from his wealth of knowledge and experience.

The roots of Kavit’s success can be traced back to K T Desai Clearing & Forwarding, a company founded by Kamlesh T. Desai in 1987. K T Desai has been a pioneer in the Indian Custom House Agents Industry, with Kamlesh’s visionary leadership anticipating the crucial role of CHA and global business long before India’s economic liberalization. By 2015, K T Desai – Ambica Group extended its services to all major ports and Inland Container Depots across India, laying a strong foundation for the future endeavors of Kavit and his peers.

Kavit’s journey is punctuated by his personal motto: “Kinaro ke sukoon se aitraz nahi, par samundar ke toofano se kasti nikalne ka maza kuch aur hi hai.” This translates to, “I have no objections to the calm shores, but the thrill of navigating through the storms of the sea is unparalleled.” This philosophy reflects his undying spirit and the thrill he finds in overcoming obstacles to achieve success.

Today, Kavit Ashwin Shah stands as a testament to what one can achieve with determination and vision. His story, from the streets of Mumbai to the international stage, inspires countless individuals aspiring to make their mark in the world of import and export. Through Digital Exim, he continues to transform lives, proving that with the right guidance and unwavering perseverance, the world is indeed your oyster.

In the bustling lanes of Mumbai, where dreams and challenges intertwine, Kavit Ashwin Shah’s story is one of relentless perseverance and inspiring success.
